Commercial Sectional Door Repair: before you call
The loading-bay door rises with one side several centimetres lower than the other.

The loading-bay door rises with one side several centimetres lower than the other. A lift cable looks slack, the bottom section sits crooked, and staff have stopped using the opening until the door can travel level again.
Worth answering before the call
Is the track standard, high-lift or vertical-lift? Where during travel does the sound or hesitation occur? Is the door closed, open or stopped between positions?
Can corrosion on lower hardware be repaired?
Surface condition and remaining material determine the scope. Light contamination may be cleaned during maintenance, while pitted cables, weakened brackets, seized rollers or compromised fasteners are replaced with compatible components. The source of moisture is considered too. Clearing drainage, renewing seals and removing accumulated salt help protect the repaired lower section and its hardware.
Will a panel repair also address the operator?
The operator is reviewed when panel damage changes door movement, balance or closed position. After the mechanical repair, the drive connection, limits and protective devices can be checked against the restored travel. This is especially useful after impact, because a bent section may have made the operator stop early or apply force against resistance before the damaged panel was replaced.
